Sixty One Years of Sensational Bliss

Hello, darlings!  Although today is my 61st wedding anniversary, I have been making it my business to celebrate it every single day with my beloved Sandy over the past week.  After all, I have been blessed to have had 61 years to share my life and love with a caring and giving man, which is we decided to take another sojourn out of the city to the tranquil town of Long Beach this past Thursday.

Joining us on this trip was Sandy’s caregiver, Moody, along with Jonathan, the lovely grandson of Off Broadway Boutiques fantastic fashion consultant, Pat.  I decided to dress in a turquoise and lime outfit that added a splash of color to the overcast weather, while delighting in the respite from the oppressive heat wave.  What’s more, I complemented my look with a silver sequin tote that garnered compliments from everyone that I passed by.  Available at our shop in both my large ‘Mama’ version for $157 and a smaller ‘Baby’ version for $117 in both silver and gold – as well as a black large tote that is currently on sale for $110 – it is made in Africa and boasts a brown leather handle that is comfortable to wear on your shoulder.  I certainly had no problem keeping my belongings in place, as the interior drawstring secured them.

Upon arriving at Long Beach, we went to the Allegria Hotel to relax in the lovely ambiance that they offered us.  Already in a good mood because of the great weather, we decided to dine at the boutique hotel’s Atlantica restaurant for lunch.  We were lucky to be taken care of by a pair of charming twin hostesses named Ginamarie and Annamarie Russo, as their hospitality made our dining experience absolutely wonderful.  Already making their mark as models on the Today Show with Kathie Lee and Hoda’s segment, Splurge vs. Steal, these lovely ladies also model in the same segment for Intimacy Bras by the Bra Whisperer.  Needless to say, we were thrilled to experience the one-of-a-kind Annamarie and Ginamarie charm that millions of viewers already have in person.  In turn, we will certainly be returning to the Atlantica so that we can have as much fun as we did that afternoon with these charismatic young ladies.

While Sandy and I have already celebrated our anniversary with dinner and a movie last night and plan to do the same this evening, we believe that these moments are precious ones that ultimately convey the love and happiness that the two of us share.  After all, this is more than just a 61st wedding anniversary, as it is a celebration of eternal bliss with my one and only true love – Sandy Cohen.

My Return to the Countryside

Hello, darlings!  I had such a great time at the Irwin and Susan Cohen’s party a few weeks ago that Sandy and I decided to make a second trip up there on Tuesday.  With Sandy’s splendid caretaker, Moody, as well as our wonderful driver, Jonathan, in tow, we arrived on their gorgeous Swing Tree Farm with every intention of enjoying the tranquility that it had to offer.

Wearing an Off Broadway Boutique stars and stripes sequin beret to complement my all-white outfit, I thought that it would be nice to provide some pre-Fourth of July fashion fireworks to our hosts.  As soon as we arrived, I gifted Sue with an Off Broadway Boutique red, white, and blue visor while giving Irwin a majestic American flag to celebrate the occasion.

It was wonderful to sit down and talk with Sue, as we shared a lot of laughs while enjoying the fresh fruit that she served us.  Moody loved the feeling of the grass between her toes so much that she hadn’t wanted to leave.  However, it was the scrumptious seafood at Torches on the Hudson that brought us a new appreciation for the countryside away from the city.  Located on the Hudson River, dining there served as the perfect end to a lovely day.

The best part about our time in the country was while we brought our city attitude to Sue and Irwin, they embraced us with an invitation to the relaxing Swing Tree Farm – a place that I plan on visiting again very soon.
